Structuring complex product systems into clear product catalog frameworks, supporting the shift from component-based offerings toward finished product systems.

Overview

This project was part of a broader company transition in which selected product systems were reframed from component-based offerings into finished product systems.

The work focused on organizing complex technical information into clear product catalog frameworks — translating system logic, configurations, and technical distinctions into a format that could support planners, designers, decision-makers, and internal teams beyond R&D.

Role

Industrial Designer contributing to product system structuring, technical translation, and cross-department product clarity.

Strategic Context

Historically, many of Klil’s product catalogs were primarily technical documents, aimed at manufacturers, installers, and professional technical audiences.

The transition toward finished product systems required a different type of product communication:

  • Supporting understanding across marketing, sales, and management teams

  • Presenting systems as defined product offeringsClarifying configuration options, system distinctions, and planning use cases

  • Aligning product information with planning and design workflows

  • Clarifying product hierarchy, configuration logic, and system distinctions

  • Maintaining technical integrity while improving accessibility

This was not a graphic catalog redesign. It was a product system structuring process expressed through catalog frameworks.

ZeroLine as Example

ZeroLine served as one example within a broader product catalog initiative.

The work translated a technically complex product system into a clearer finished-product framework, helping clarify system configuration beyond technical departments.
